Meet James
James is the founder and head grower at Herbalism. With a decade long journey of Aquaponics, propagation, and ornamental plant production, James has overseen the growth of millions of plants!
Through years of experience in conventional farming practices, the advantages of indoor plant production became clear: Conventional plant production is inefficient, unprotected, and uncontrolled. The solution - either continue to increase chemical and water output - or change the growing environment altogether.
In 2024 James started Herbalism, with a vision to improve access to sustainable, nutritious, and vibrant food. Fast forward and we’re still growing, still experimenting, and still committed to efficient, chemical free growing practices.

What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver microgreens within a 10km Radis of Newcastle. This includes suburbs of Newcastle, Newcastle West, Islington, Carrington, Wallsend, Jesmond, Hamilton, and more. On checkout you’ll see full delivery or click and collect options outside area.

Do you do supply samples?
Of course! For new wholesale customers coming onboard - we’d love to supply samples. Contact us for special requirements and we’ll aim to please.
Do you offer wholesale pricing for larger orders?
We offer wholesale pricing for larger customers. Contact us for wholesale requirements and we’ll return with appropriate quotes and terms.
How do you grow without Chemicals?
Our farm is totally protected from the outside world. We create a growing environment where disease is unable to thrive, and pests are prevented from entering the facility.
Do you deliver outside of Newcastle?
Although we’d love to supply everyone - we’re not able to deliver abroad! We offer Click and collect options for those outside of area. For wholesale customers outside of area, contact us for special delivery options.
Are you able to grow something specific for me?
We aim to deliver! If there’s a specific crop you’d love to have on your menu have a chat with us! We can grow just about anything. Once we’ve nailed product we’ll be in touch.

Our "No Nasties" approach is all about pure plant—good for you, and great for the planet! We’re committed to supplying clean greens, with a lower impact on our precious environment.
We’re totally pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, and GMO free, while maximising water and energy efficiencies. Grown indoors, our plants thrive in a sustainable environment.
Our commitment doesn’t end once our greens are grown up, it ends when the product is delivered. Single use plastic free packaging and local delivery solutions, reducing food miles.
